Background:
 

Bell AG is Switzerland’s largest meat processor, with a history spanning over 130 years. Each year, Bell processes approximately 130,000 tons of meat and sells about 50 products per second. As digitalization in production and logistics has grown, IT security has become increasingly important—particularly with regard to unauthorized devices on the network.

Challenge:

• Distributed production and storage sites with heterogeneous network environments
• Need for reliable third-party device detection—regardless of operating system or device type
• Granular access control, e.g., for external service providers and visitors
• Simplified management without compromising security

Solution:

Following an evaluation phase, the decision was made to implement ARP-GUARD Network Access Control, provided by the Swiss IT security service provider Omicron AG:

Thanks to the collaboration with Omicron AG, the solution was deployed quickly and smoothly—a future-proof step for the digital advancement of Bell’s infrastructure.
